I missed the Damaged Opinions one. Good post! My friends from France definetly preferred to speak English than amateur French. I was fluent for a while but the minute I struggled the French folks really just preferred English. I can’t blame them.
I remember some of those, Sabio. I especially liked your wise advice to your son about “the best”. It’s not something I myself would have thought to point out to someone else, but it was — and is — so spot on.
Hey… how about reflecting back and writing a poem or two from your experience?
I agree with TWF!
