Happy Birthday Ganesh

Lord Ganesh

Ganesh is the Hindu God considered to be the Remover of Obstacles, Lord of Beginnings, Patron of Arts and Sciences, Lord of Intellect and Wisdom.  His birthday (Wiki) happens to fall on September 11th this year.  Today I will visit a Hindu temple and remember the importance of Wisdom and how to remove obstacles.  I plan to take my children to the Temple on the next day for their first visit to a Hindu temple.

    “Salutation, respect and greetings to the Remover of Obstacles” … (Ganesh)

    Have fun at the temple! :-}

  2. For the kids, you can find versions of Mahabarat and Ramayana on YouTube that present the stories about all of the gods. Ramayana might be a little intense for younger kids.
